タイトル: Thin Liquid Films and Wave Evolution on the Surface of a Rotating Disc

摘要:
   The steady-state flow of a liquid in the form of a thin film flowing radially outward from a central source on the surface of a rapidly rotating disc is examined, and both asymptotic and numerical solutions for the flow-field and free surface location are presented. The conditions for growth of small amplitude disturbances to the film are considered, and various long-wave approximations are use to derive evolution equations for large amplitude waves. These are compared with the equations governing waves on a film falling down a vertical wall.
