Delay control of synchronization
講演要旨:
We start with a short introduction to synchronization of irregular and chaotic oscillators with emphasis on phase synchronization. Next, a theory of control of coherence of irregular oscillations is presented. We show that the coherence of the Lorenz system can be effectively controlled by a delayed feedback what enables easy synchronization by an external force. In the last part we demonstrate that collective synchrony in an ensemble of globally coupled units (Kuramoto model) can be suppressed by a delay feedback. We discuss possible neurophysiological implications of this method.
