I. Access Information:

Sugimoto Campus, Osaka City University (OCU) is located on the south of Osaka City, and is faced to Japan Railway (JR) Sugimoto-cho Station of the Hanwa line. You can reach there from Kansai Int'l airport or Shin-Osaka station of JR super-express train (Shin-kansen) . We strongly hope you to choose Kansai Int'l airport as a port of your entry to Japan. See access map.

[A] From Kansai International Airport

Kansai Int'l Airport is an offshore airport, approx. 50 km south away from the downtown, Osaka. To get to Sugimoto Campus of OCU, we have several routes.

[A-1] Standard Route

  1. Proceed to the 2nd floor of the Airport building for the JR Kansai Airport Station to buy a ticket for JR Sugimoto-cho Station of JR Hanwa Line (860 yen, available until 11:40 p.m.), and take the JR Rapid Train (Kanku-kaisoku) bound for Tennoji/Kyobashi Station.
  2. At JR Sakai-shi Station, change trains to a local one to Sugimoto-cho Station.
  3. From Sugimoto-cho Station, please come to Media Center at Sugimoto Campus, OCU on foot. It will take about 5 minutes.

[A-2] Other Option

  1. Please follow to the above standard route up to JR Sakai-shi Station. On arrival at Sakai-shi Station, proceed to the taxi terminal to hire a taxi to Media Center at Sugimoto Campus, OCU.
  2. Show the map of Sugimoto Campus, Osaka City University to the taxi driver and ask him/her to go to "Osaka Shiritu Daigaku, Sugimoto Campus, Gakujo Center". The taxi will take you to OCU about 20 minutes with the cost of 2,500 yen.

[B] From Shin-Osaka station

[B-1] Standard Route

  1. Change the train at Shin-Osaka station and take the JR Rapid Train (Haruka) bound for Tennoji/Kansai Airport Station.
  2. At JR Tennoji Station, change trains to the Hanwa Line and take a local train to Sugimoto-cho Station.
  3. From Sugimoto-cho Station, please come to Media Center at Sugimoto Campus of OCU on foot. It will take about 5 minutes.

[B-2] Other Option

  1. Change the train at Shin-Osaka station and take the subway (Midousuji line) bound for Nakamozu Station.
  2. Get off the subway train at Abiko Station and take a taxi to Media Center at Sugimoto Campus of OCU. Show the map of Sugimoto Campus of OCU to the taxi driver and ask him/her to go to "Osaka Shiritu Daigaku, Sugimoto Campus, Gakujo Center". The taxi will take you to OCU about 10 minutes with the cost less than 1,000 yen.

II. Accommodation Information:

Invited speakers are recommended to stay in Kansai Kenshu Center (KKC). General participants are asked to reserve hotels by themselves (see details below).

[A] For Invited Speakers

Although the information on KKC is given below, any direct reservation of rooms in KKC should be made neither by speakers nor by general participants. Only the organizers can have a direct contact with KKC on behalf of the speakers.

(How to reach KKC: You should follow the same way as above, except for the destination. You should ask the taxi driver to go to KKC rather than OCU. The cost is almost the same as above.)

For General Participants General participants are asked to reserve hotels by themselves. We recommend the following four hotels from which one can reach Media Center at Sugimoto Campus of OCU in 25 min just by the Hanwa Line.
